Tummy tuck

Things to consider before getting a tummy tuck

Many women dream of having a lovely flat stomach, but it is often unattainable due to changes in the female waist caused by pregnancy and weight swings. A Tummy Tuck will assist in the restoration of seductive forms.

This procedure restores the abdomen’s aesthetic proportions and brings the changed anterior abdominal wall as close to an aesthetically acceptable norm as possible. Abdominoplasty is frequently performed in conjunction with abdominal liposuction.

It is important to understand that Tummy Tuck doesn’t help lose weight.

Types of Tummy Tuck surgery

1) Mini Abdominoplasty – is a procedure that lifts the skin of the abdomen to a certain extent.

2) Total abdominoplasty – when the abdominal muscles and connective tissue need to be modelled.

3) Abdominoplasty with liposuction – this procedure models the abdomen while also removing excess subcutaneous fat.

Depending on the patient, Tummy Tuck can be done partially (mini-Tummy Tuck) or entirely (full Tummy Tuck). The fundamental difference between a full and a partial abdominoplasty is that the first does not affect the position of the navel. A full abdominoplasty is performed if the patient has a significant amount of extra fat below the navel. Other aesthetic surgery treatments, such as liposuction, can be combined with Tummy Tuck. This technique is perfect for achieving a younger, flatter, and toned tummy.

You will be given premedication prior to the operation (drugs that reduce feelings of fear and anxiety).

Special dressings and undergarments will be put to the postoperative wound when the operation is completed.

Features of rehabilitation after Tummy Tuck

To avoid skin strain and seam stretching, sleep on your back for the first several days with your legs bent. Until the stitches are removed, dressings are applied two to three times per week. Compression underwear is essential for the first month and a half of therapy. You must follow a special diet for the first month. After a month, you can resume your regular eating habits. Physical exercise is restricted during the first three months of rehabilitation. The sutures are removed on the 14th or 15th day after the abdominoplasty. A week, a month, and a year following the surgery, you must see a doctor.
